📊 Nutrition at a glance
Servings differ, so compare with the serving in view. A higher number isn’t “better” for everyone.

Carbohydrate, fat, sugars, vitamins, and minerals are not shown in this first release because we have not yet checked them for every ingredient. Herbs, spices, vinegar, and citrus are not counted. Canned foods use USDA values for no-salt-added products, so your brand may differ. Soy milk changes the oats by brand, so check your carton.
Nutrition values are estimates based on the listed ingredients and serving size. Brands, portions, preparation, and substitutions can change the results. They don’t show how well your body absorbs nutrients, and one meal can’t tell you whether your overall eating meets your needs.
🧭 More meal ideas (nutrition coming)
- Meal templates (flexible formulas, like the Seven-Minute Rescue Meal™ bowls, soup, and potato): one formula can’t have one number, so we’re writing a measured example version of each to analyze.
- Kitchen Monk Staples (milks, dressings, sauces): nutrition estimate pending, because ingredient amounts or serving sizes need confirmation.
- Recipes from other organizations, such as the VA cookbook in our 8-Week Meal Plan: these are external resources. Where the source publishes nutrition, we’ll label it as the source’s, not ours.
🤔 I got a different number
First check: confirm the ingredient amounts and the number of servings. Other common reasons are:
- a different brand
- a raw or dry entry instead of cooked
- drained versus undrained ingredients
- optional toppings
- missing nutrient data
- rounding
💬 Quick help
What does “per serving” mean?
It’s the amount described in the Serving column, such as “⅓ of the pot.” If you eat more or less, the numbers change in proportion.
Why are these numbers estimates?
They’re calculated from food-composition data, not measured in a lab, and real foods vary.
Can I use the recipes without tracking?
Yes, completely. If logging food feels stressful or unhelpful, skip it.
Do I need to buy Cronometer Gold?
No, not for what we describe. Creating a custom recipe and seeing its nutrition is part of the free Basic account. Gold is an optional paid upgrade, with extras such as recipe importing, recipe sharing, and printed reports.
How we calculated these numbers: each ingredient amount was multiplied by its USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy) value, then divided by the number of servings. Calculated October 3, 2026, with AI assistance, for Nathanael Elijah Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, DipACLM. A second-person calculation check has not yet been done. Clinical review by a registered dietitian is planned but not yet completed.
