🎓 Nursing contact hours and completion dates

LM2026 advertises up to 49.25 nursing contact hours. INCA’s Lifestyle Nursing course lists 92.5 contact hours. Together, that is a potential 141.75 nursing contact hours for eligible participants who complete the qualifying activities and requirements. Credit acceptance depends on your credential and jurisdiction.

The conference’s published CME/CE/CNE claim deadline is January 29, 2027. One year of recording access does not extend that credit-claim deadline. Other credit types have their own limits and deadlines. See the official accreditation statement.

🌍 Connecting clinical learning and community life

The official ACLM–Blue Zones partnership connects lifestyle medicine with community well-being. Our vision is for nurses, nurse coaches and neighbors to help bring useful learning into everyday life, with compassion and respect for each person’s circumstances. 🌱 #BlueZones #HealthyCommunities #GlobalNursing #NursesLead

🌿 Why explore the conference and Lifestyle Nursing together?

  1. Explore the wider field. Conference topics span research, clinical applications, behavior change, and community health. Identify the subjects you want to understand more deeply.
  2. Continue with a nursing focus. INCA’s course connects lifestyle principles with nursing responsibilities and support for everyday behavior change.
  3. Prepare for practical conversations. Study motivational interviewing, readiness for change, patient education, and habit development.
  4. Consider a person’s circumstances. Reflect on access, resources, work, culture, support, and other barriers affecting what is realistic.
  5. Learn across professional roles. Broader perspectives can help you identify useful collaboration and community connections.
  6. Revisit material on your schedule. Online learning and recordings let you pause, review, and take notes, while reducing travel and lodging needs.
  7. Keep the conversation going. INCA faculty meetups and course discussions offer opportunities to bring questions into your learning.
  8. Document continuing education. Keep your participation records and course certificate for your professional development portfolio.
  9. Reflect on your own well-being. Consider your own rest, nourishment, movement, relationships, and need for support as you learn.
  10. Develop a manageable next step. Use your learning to explore a clearer patient handout, a team conversation, a community resource list, or an educational activity appropriate to your role.

These are reasons for our recommendation, rather than promises of a particular clinical, career, or financial outcome. Your learning becomes most useful when you apply it thoughtfully within your role.

🩺 Continue with Dr. Karen Laing through INCA

Lifestyle Nursing: A Lifestyle Medicine Framework for Nurses was created by Dr. Karen Laing and is officially offered through the Integrative Nurse Coach® Academy. Dr. Laing is a newly elected ACLM Director At-Large, an advanced practice nurse, and a board-certified health and wellness nurse coach. Her INCA biography also identifies holistic nursing and nurse coaching board certification.

The published course includes 12 online modules, 92.5 nursing contact hours, and $1,295 standalone tuition. INCA describes 8–12 weeks as a typical completion range, with one year from enrollment to finish certificate requirements. Lifetime access applies to course videos and slide decks. Four faculty meetups must be completed live or through recordings.

Topics include the six lifestyle medicine pillars, lifestyle approaches in diabetes, cardiovascular and obesity care, and bringing learning together through a capstone. Participation includes open-book quizzes, reflection, cases, discussions, and resources. The required Lifestyle Nursing textbook is edited by Gia Merlo and Kathy Berra.

INCA’s specialty-program admissions guidance includes RNs, APRNs, LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs. Ask Admissions about any credentials or circumstances outside the published categories, including international documentation or student status. Nursing contact-hour acceptance varies by credential and jurisdiction.

INCA’s published options include payment in full, a qualifying direct payment plan with an administrative fee, third-party financing, and discounts for eligible military applicants and alumni. Its specialty-course refund window is one business day after registration before accepting the course invitation or accessing materials; approved refunds have processing deductions. Completion, payment, material-use, and other enrollment terms apply.

Read the complete course guide for the 12-module curriculum, faculty credentials, learning format, textbook, credit information, payment options, discounts, and enrollment terms. Confirm details through the official course page, INCA’s policies, and INCA Admissions.

Course completion earns an educational certificate and eligible contact hours. Initial nurse coach board-certification preparation and lifestyle medicine board-examination eligibility follow their own separate requirements.

🥷 Become an Official Flourishing Nurse Ninja™

Flourishing Nursing™ recognizes anyone who completes both their LM2026 Online learning and all INCA Lifestyle Nursing course requirements as an Official Flourishing Nurse Ninja™. We celebrate the effort of every qualifying participant, including the wider nursing care community. Keep your conference participation record and INCA completion documentation.

This is our independent community’s honorary recognition of learning, listening, compassionate service, and helping people flourish. It accompanies your actual professional role and credentials. It does not award nursing licensure, board certification, additional practice authority, or an ACLM or INCA credential. It is not an automatic enrollment or credential-verification service.

The conference component of the pathway described here is LM2026 Online. A future conference announcement does not change these completion criteria. We will identify any future pathway separately.

🥷 Read the full Flourishing Nurse Ninja recognition guide for the two learning requirements and what our community honor means.
