Willow Owl
The Wise Owl, a guiding presence who teaches at a young one’s eye level: how to ask for help, and how to stand with others.
Inspired by the author’s late English teacher, Mrs. Sandra Smith. Willow is a fictional owl, not a portrait.

The Ohana Seagulls
Once known as the Aloha Seagulls. Their new name, Ohana, speaks of family and belonging, and the change is tied to remembrance: the moment separation begins to turn into home.

KENSPEED
One of the great icons of the EVERgreen universe: the EVERgreen World’s transformed vessel of remembrance, a rainbow-glistening ship of family memory, hope, movement, and home.
In the imaginative EVERgreen World, the historic Peter Iredale shipwreck inspires KENSPEED. The real ship was never renamed.

The Seawolf
A little Seawolf who learns from Willow, carries that lesson through storms and long seasons, and grows toward becoming the Great White Seawolf.
