💃 Zumba® Classes & Dance: Move, Connect, Flourish

A little music. A little movement. A little more connection.

Discover Zumba® classes, free dance workouts, seated movement, and ways to move with others. Whether you are a patient, nurse, clinician, caregiver, or someone beginning again, you are welcome here.

Start with one song, move in a way that works for you, and invite someone to join you. No perfect steps required. 💃🕺

🩺 For nursing teams: the Flourishing Nursing version ↗ · No account needed to use anything here.

🧡 Move in a way that works for you. Choose movement that fits your comfort, balance, and abilities. Seated movement, smaller steps, and rest breaks all count. Follow any movement restrictions from your care team. Stop and rest if you feel dizzy, very short of breath, or have chest pain; in an emergency, call 911.

Health agencies list dancing as aerobic activity and suggest building up slowly toward about 150 minutes a week, with balance activities for older adults. Sources: CDC: Moving Matters for older adults · MyHealthfinder: Stay active as you get older.

🔎 More places to check

These are official places that offer or list classes for older adults. We haven’t confirmed a current dance class at each one yet. Your local parks & recreation department, YMCA, library, and senior center are also great places to ask.

🤝 Dance Together, Flourish Together

Dancing is a joyful way to move and to feel connected. These small invitations make it easier to start and to keep going:

  • 🎵 Share one song with a friend and dance to it at the same time, even from different homes.
  • 👨‍👩‍👧 Invite a family member or caregiver to try a seated video with you.
  • 🩺 Organize a short nursing-team dance break: one voluntary song at a huddle or after a hard shift.
  • 📍 Join a community class together; a friend makes the first class easier.
  • 🪑 Host a seated dance gathering at home, church, or a community room with one of the seated videos above.
  • 🗓️ Build a regular meetup: same day, same time, one song to start, conversation after.

🚶 Move With a Nurse™: Dance Together

We’re exploring Dance Together as a future activity within Move With a Nurse™. Nothing is scheduled yet; we’ll announce a hosted class only once we have a confirmed qualified instructor, schedule, and registration process.

👩‍⚕️ For Patients, Nurses & Clinicians

  • Help someone find a kind of movement they actually enjoy.
  • Share this page during a visit, in a portal message, or on an after-visit summary.
  • Explore a seated or shorter session together before suggesting a longer one.
  • Invite a colleague to a voluntary movement break.
  • Add a gentle dance activity to a community wellness event.

Participation is always voluntary and welcoming. This is about enjoying movement and connection, not weight loss, competition, or requirements.

The share buttons open your own email or messaging app with the link filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send.

➕ Suggest a Class or Free Resource
