Practical help to eat well and flourish.

🍽️ At Kitchen Monk™, there is always room for one more at the table. Our founder hopes to carry that welcome into nursing education.

🌱 The Flourishing Nursing Education Initiative is a plan, not a school. As of October 2026, it offers no classes, enrollment, credit, or degrees. It is gathering advisors first.

🧭 What we stand for today

  • 🏳️‍🌈 Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people belong fully.
  • 🕊️ People of every faith and none are welcome. Our faith is an invitation, never a requirement.
  • 🔎 Honest learning and respectful questions guide the work.
  • 🥦 Whole-person health: food, sleep, movement, and community.

🥕 What Kitchen Monk brings: cooking skills and whole-person health. Future nurses could learn to help patients eat well in real kitchens, on real budgets, in their own cultures.

🔍 Honest by design: Kitchen Monk would be taught as one evidence-informed approach that students can question. Students would never be required to buy anything from Kitchen Monk or take part in promotions.

🛠️ What we are building toward

  • 📚 Continuing education and nurse coaching, as a first step
  • 🏛️ Shared governance and legal protections for these commitments
  • 🎓 A nursing college only if careful study and the right approvals support it

Founded by Flourishing Nurse Ninja Nathanael Elijah Smith, FNP-C, DipACLM. A planning initiative as of October 2026: not accredited, approved, or degree-granting.
